today we (wei qiang, jerry, wei sze, benj, pk, john john, tourm, jq and hi5) went to pulau ubin to cycle! had to wake up at 6.2oam cos wei qiang wanted us to meet at changi at 8am... was supposed to meet esther at 7.30am at tampines but she overslpt. in the end, we arrived at 8.30am.. luckily, we weren't the last one..
after breakfast, we headed to the ferry terminal... 13 of us fitted nicely into one water taxi.. the ride is fun! cos it's at open sea then waves quite strong... we reached pulau ubin ard 9plus... the rental of a bike is $6 for a whole day! the brakes of the bikes v powerful de.. u'll jerk if u apply brakes suddenly..
the guys took some maps and we started cycling.. cycle, cycle, cycle we came upon the beach. before tat, we were chased by a dog! it was barkin behind us.. didn't know wat happened and just kept cycling.. we stopped at the beach to rest and continued
then we took the mud route.. i guess it rained yest? the road was muddy.. and with puddles and puddles of water... it's kinda gross.. and i'm wearin my asics! and one pt, it was impossible to cross.. had to push our bikes up this heap of mud to get across.. after which, my beautiful shoes were caked with mud.
after which, we came upon proper road... then came upon a downslope.. suddenly i saw pieces of stuff flyin towards me.. then i realise they were mud.. so i tried slowing down. when i caught up with the rest.. we could really see who rode the fastest.. lol.. we were dirty everywhere!
stopped at the toilets to wash up.. on the way back, wei qiang, boon, jerry and wei sze fell.. wq and boon were on doubles and so were jerry and wei sze. wq's pair had braked and they both fell. jerry, on seein them fell, also braked and fell. wq's knees were badly scraped.. boon's arms and legs were scraped. jerry's pair were unharm... benj then rode wq, jerry ridin boon and wei sze on a single... all 5 went back to the bike rental shop.
the 8 of us then continued our journey... we reached a dirt road where i nearly fell down the hill. luckily there were alot of branches to break my fall.. heng sia.. then we continued up dirt road .. then we were goin down hill.. the slope so freakin steep.. i saw a bend in front and was afraid there might be someone.. applied my brake to try and slow it down.. my bike was like flyin! dunno how.. i fell.. then tricia.. who was behind me, applied her brake too.. and fell.. lol. my nan xiong nan di!
after tat, my left brake was spoiled.. we rested.. ate bread.. and continued. then boon called to say that they wanted to go cos wq was afraid his wounds would hv infections. so we headed back..
had lunch at the hawker centre.. then we went home to bathe and then meet later for dinner.
after reachin home, spent nearly an hr washing my shoes.. scrubbin the mud of them.. washin my bag.. after my bath.. my fingers were wrinkled! but my shoes were spick and spank!
but then.... tricia say cancel the dinner out le.. cos some tired.. some no money.. some injured.. am so disappointed =(
oh! john john gave me hair dye! lol... copper red colour.. thx brother!
