i'm back now to write abt jeff.. forgot abt him in my previous entry.. jeff is this super duper skinny guy workin at the membership dept.. we have to hand the lost report book to either jeff or sharinah.. then he wouldn't even look at u, just take the book and sign.. don't even say anythin lor. at least the others will look at u, like sort of acknowledge ur presense. but then, 2 days ago.. he spoke WORDS to me! not sentences, but words.. haha actually he just wanted me to relay a message to kris from my dept.. he like want to talk in chi but mian qiang talk in eng.. so end up a mixture of chi and eng. talk also super slow.. so funny... i think he got go chiong de plus he smokes so look like junky..

lala, en i nv mention all the guys lor! haha.. didn't talk abt uncle tong... and tat simon..

met up with hi 5 just now for lunch at pizza hut.. before tat, had to go all e way to andy's hse to return his comics cos my mummy say cannot owe pple things over cny.. was surprised by boon.. haha. tat girl then got tao hua yun lor, not me.. haha.. after lunch went to walk walk then sat at starbucks to drink and paint nails! wahaha.. the 4 of us took turns to try and save boon's nails.. cos en's skills not v gd, then her nails looked funny.. trish, esther and i then tried paintin for her.. in the end, she had to call her sis to bring nail remover to her grandma hse for her. so funny!

grandma and aunt came and had dinner with us.. wasn't really hungry .. and my head was groggy.. so i felt shitty.. went for a shower and felt slightly better. after they left, had straight to the bed and slpt till 8pm... went over grandma's hse to meet up w the other family members..

tml not goin anywhere to visit. so wil be slackin and catchin up w my slp.. wee! xin nian kuai le!

today is a happy day! cos it's pre-hols and everybody's in a gd mood... lala.. seemed to be in better terms with some of the colleagues in the other departments. eg aiysah, whom i only went to her twice to ask for her help. and sharinah, who will get irritated whenever we pass her the lost report book cos it means more work for her.. haha she warn me tat i'll c her true colours on wed.. cos most of the chi collegues on hol so she alot of work to do. plus over the long hols, means lots of pple will lose cards and stuff.. more work for us too!

then today the boss of the boss came over along with other important pple so we all had to be prim and proper... we cleaned our counter with dettol! dettol smells so gd! haha. so happy when the ocunter was spick and spank.

oh yeah, continue abt the nice pple. because of the festive mood, been havin conversations with desmond since yest.. haha i ask him give me ang bao. then today just nice we left work with him and joe. then it rained... he shared his umbrella w me, while joe shared his with jq.. everybody super nice la.. and i realised valentine's quite a gentleman.. had to get stock in this super small stock room. he was in there countin money. the room only has the width of a chair, and he was sittin on it. had to squeeze in to get my stuff. then when i wanted to leave, he pushed his chair all the way to the other end, stood up and let me walk through with ease.. nice right? before he left, he went to the counter and wished us all happy new yr, of cos with handshake..

lastly, there was derrick.. was walkin back from the toilet.. he was sittin with back facin the alley.. suddenly he just stood up, stuck out his hand and wished me happy new yr! i was kinda shock.. cos i dun even talk to him even though i pass him the lost pin book sometimes.. he's like everytime bo chap me la.. just sign the book and give me. so was really taken aback.

oh yeah, and brian saw wished me new yr and i shook his hand! stun... -.-"

and there's alot of friendly pple there.. like siti, who has been smilin to me recently as we cross path... joyce from membership dept.. i like rahman and mui lee the best.. cos they v lame sia.. suan me alot though.

took the same train as nic on the way home. it's like super coincidence man.. if en and wh wasn't able to get on to our trn, if jq and i hadn't get down at lavender to wait for them, if we hadn't changed cabin, i wouldn't have seen him.

just now bro and i changed the lamp... he climbed ladder to unscrew the stuff.. i put my hand at his back to kinda supporst him cos he scared. haha.. then suddenly got electricity ran thru me! i was shock. guess my bro got shock too.. he only told me that he got electricity shock after awhile.. we were both stunned... but managed to fix the lamp in the end. hurray!

my entry today will be super duper long so pls bare with me! haha

learned how to make espresso drinks on wed. had to grink the beans first, then tamp it with the right amt of pressure then pull the shot.. if the flow of espresso is too fast or too slow, gotta throw it away.. then after pullin the shot, hv to finish makin the drink in 10s! there will be two cups of espresso which means 2 drinks in 10s or else hv to throw. was taught how to steam milk.. but it's like super confusing... durin practice, i forgot to put the thermometer in the pitcher, and started to panick. in the end, milk spurted out.. lol... before tat, had to open a carton of milk. it also spilled cos use too much strength.. lol.. it's super stressful when coach started countin down the time to make the drinks. we had to make latte and cappucino..

mocha valencia is the new drink of the season! pls go try it. it's super nice!

started my first in-store trnin yest. learned abt retailin, cleanin the cafe and makin coffee and tea of the day.. so fun! but sad that my trnin had to be stopped cos suntec didn't hv enough partners and therefore couldn't afford to hv one person to teach me.. but in a way it's gd. finally can rest and go home for dinner after almost a week

the think i dun like abt starbucks is tat 4 out of 5 girls are butch and 9 out of 10 smoke.. ok, not really dun like.. but it's feels weird.

till now, i can't believe i'm part of starbucks! it feels like yest when zun called me and told me i'm in.. and it's been 2 days tat i've been attendin lessons now. so amazin! the lessons hv been real cool. learn alot of new things.. the coaches were great! made new frens and stuff.. everybody's like so friendly and stuff...

back at my store, it's the same! though i dunno like most of them, there's this friendly atmosphere ard.. dean, one of the shift manager, will like scold u in a nice way.. jokingly way.. he tot hawa and i how to clean the window panels.. haha. we had to clean them yest and today. so tiring! then today, e other shift manager whom i can't rmb e name, just came forward to us to tell us how we can clean those panels more efficiently.. things like tat, it's feels great cos everybody's helpin each other to make our store the perfect place.. u'll get praised for doin a gd job and it's ok to make mistakes..

altogether, there's 12, 13 partners in our store.. of which only 5 are the most experienced. 5 just graduated and the 3 of us still learnin.. there's this amazin bookshelf there. anyone with unwanted books pls give me..

so sad i couldn't work tml.. obviously.. want to see wat it's like on the first day.. see the vips and everybody.. so, i'll wake up at 5am tml, head to suntec to see the opening at 7.30am.. i'm gonna be the first customer there!!! then ard 8.15am slowly trot to diners'.. sian. haha.. got a class at 6pm to... 10 i think. argh!!!

but i think starbucks will be a great place to work in .. they are v serious abt cust service and stuff. and the pple there are fun and cheerful and friendly.. at least the pple i know now. haha. but i think my store will be great! cos the pple outgoin de...plus zun's expectations super high. though i haven't heard cod speak .. yet.

oh ya, that evil dean, showed everybody where to throw the trash.. it's like at basement 2, some room thingy.. the room got 2 big rubbish containers for us to throw our bags into.. wah the smell can faint. dean made us all go inside to see see and ask us to look for a pipe to wash the containers' opening.. then he closed the door on us! i held my breath but still the foul smell could get into my nose.. darn. after awhile, dean opened e door and said there wasn't a need to clean the containers, it ain't our job. feel like throwin him into the container.

can't wait to start workin! but i think the test like quite hard... zee didn't pass his today and had to retake tml.. there's a theory paper in which u gotta score 100%. then practical, someone will order alot of drinks, probably with complicated orders.. then u gotta make it.. while practisin all the skills u've learnt.. smth like tat

tink i'm goin to be a walkin zombie soon le.. can start to feel the fatigue slowly crawlin in on me .. hope i wouldn't be yawnin all the way durin work, and be able to maintain my smile throughout.. dunno wanna disappoint anybody, esp myself..

went to the new starbucks after work today.. cool looking sia! haha but one thing i realised, super lots of malay sia.. i think only one other chinese girl.. and she speaks in english.. tian ar.. feel so out of place.. i went there, everybody was like doin smth then so awkward cos they seemed to know each other... didn't know wat to do.. then i went round askin who needs my help.. get to know this girl lela.. she's new like me.. meetin her to go tanjong pajar for our course tml..

today lunch i walked all the way to time sq, millenia walk, just to find the starbucks tat i've gotta go later on.. wah.. i find tat place find until can die.. legs so tired. but it's quite near... so i can walk over after work nxt time..

after work, went over to find zun.. went thru the first module: first impressions thingy.... haha zun is the store manager.. so pro, work 3 yrs only.. met another colleague there.. she also just started, like me.. we were given a starbucks coffee passport, green apron bk and a super thick guid book. we gotta record every coffee we tasted in that passport and hv to complete it in 3 mths ( i think )

starbucks is so freakin cold! shiverin like mad.. but got free latte.. heehee.. went thru the first few pages of the bk and tasted this coffee: gutatemala casi cielo. cheem name sia.. haha then when tasting coffee, gotta slurp and identify it's weight and acidity.. lol and other minor taste.. i drink tat coffee only know it's bitter. but zun say that it's sweet, and hv a berry-like taste.. i was stun sia.. haha.. then it's medium-bodied and low acidity.. pro sia ..

finally we ended our session at 9.30pm.. had our week planned with courses and lessons. courses will be at the main branch at tanjong pagar.. my lessons will be at my suntec branch. but whole week busy like anything.. fri, sat and sun gotta go do up our branch cos just renovated.. zun say it'll be v arty.. with a victorian kind of bookshelf.. then maybe will hv live performances.. damn cool!

will be real busy from now on...so pls book me at least one wk before hand.. cos my timetable planned every wk de..

lala.. today jq v funny... was surprise he was earlier then us! lol angeline installed a phone just for him! haha then he didn't know it's his phone and didn't pick it up when it rang.. got one guy standin there was saying 'hey it's ur phone. not pickin up?' then angeline came out and told him tat's his phone.. jq didn't bring a mug. he damn pro. nv even bring a bag. i let him use my spare mug. i called his extension once. he sounded so funny! haha super nervous i think.

haha... well, starbucks has finally called me, after one wk plus.. i was so excited when i got the call.. wahahaha..... i sent them a mail on sat and when they didn't reply me yest.. i was so utterly disappointed.. haha but, today they made my day! heehee.. but everything's not really goin as wat i wish to be. i was posted to a branch at suntec.. actually this new branch (near nike boutique) will only be open on 23rd jan, nxt mon...

tml gotta meet this girl called zun at the starbucks at millenia walk.. where the hell is tat? i know it's near marina but how do i know where's starbucks? tian... and i gotta be in their proper dress code, for first impressions... -.-" the attire is: black/khaki pants, black/white polo tee and black/khaki shoes.. thank goodness i got my khaki adidas shoes..

after work, i went to this fashion at bugis to buy my pants..then went plaza sing to meet aud.. waited for her for more then an hr cos she's still working. she brought me to the this fashion there but there was no polos.. so we went back and i got 2 black polo tees from giordano.. i think i really look like a crew from starbucks! heehee

great to see aud again.. haha, from our phone conversations today, she's still the same old lamer.. wahaha.. that kid.. clip up her hair and had her fringe cut.. super act cute.. haha and she was wearin tat ugly crocs shoes cos they were sponsered. when i first saw her with tat hair and shoes, i was laughin my head out.. so funny!

i'm off now... checkin up on how i can get to millenia walk.. safely. lol..

oh yeah, tml jia qing's gonna start work with us.. at the telemarketing department.. heehee.. so fun to hv him ard..

yest, basix and jq went to simpang for dinner. they bought me a white billabong wallet.. actually en was the one who chose it.. i like it alot! just what i wanted. thx everyone! we sat there for ard 2 hrs, talkin.

today had to go work.... work was so slack that we spent time talkin, eatin buscuits and doin monday's work.. haha so i think monday will be less busy as normal mondays.. work ended at 1pm..

went home and slp... didn't feel like wakin up at all even when it's 6pm.. was meetin li hui at 7pm at simpang (again.. lol) so long nv see her.. we chatted for almost 2 hrs too.. eat until so full that we couldn't finish wat we ordered.. lol. great to see her. she bought me a really nice watch.. haha..

the rain spell ended on friday the 13th.. so ironic ! great to have the sun back.. but it's kinda hot now.. lol.. y can't sg hv cool sunny weather instead of the two extremes?

sent an email to starbucks.. prayin hard. haha.. spendin tml doin maths... hopefully i wouldn't be too lazy to do them..

wonderin if i shld give myself an english name.. haha.. no inspiration yet.

i've forgetten tat i've accidently spilled coffee on en's pencil case last yr until she remind me abt it. i swear after tat i've been cursed! haha.. been super duper clumsy of late.. i would find my clothes dirty without doin why.. would spill smth on myself, or accidently got ink on me.. it's almost everyday at work! was wondering y and i realised i'm spendin everyday with en! tian.. bet she's the one cursin me! lol.. and she was bendin on me gettin my clothes dirty today too! luckily i remained clean.. haha.. tml's friday the 13th.. bad day! cos en the little witch will strike at full force! i must wear a black shirt... just in case. lol

ms sotong chong has officially joined my company today... heehee, so happy i've got great frens ard as my colleagues.

after work went shoppin with eve. bought a shoe (finally!) and a skirt.. i've bought 2 new skirts w/o a new top! ah... where to find time to buy?

bloody cold weather. since when does it rain in mid-jan? and all of dec was sunny and hot.. been rainin everday for almost a week now.. it's terrible

yest, eve went to the starbucks webbie and saw tat there's a career open hse today at capital tower. since we didn't hv anything to do today, we decided to go for the open hse.

today's weather is so horrible! rained whole day, whole island.. so sickening... had to walk so carefully and slowly in case i fall... and i've gotta carry an umbrella, smth i'm not gd with.. i need time to fiddle with my umbrella before i actually open it.. and i dunno how to fold it neatly after use!!

anw.. we finally found our way to capital tower.. so freaking cold. when we reached starbucks, we kinda hesitated.. but signed up anw.. it's really like an open hse.. they still give us map to tell us where each station is... we filled up the form and was led to a corner for our interview.

my interviewer is a malay guy.. i was sitted on a chair, while he sat on the sofa. i tried to keep a gd posture and all.. lol.. he started the interview by askin 'what to u know abt starbucks?' i got stunned! haha then i say 'starbucks is one of the leadin coffee place in sg'.. lol.. lame ans. blah blah blah.. he asked alot of my current job.. abt cust service.. wat do u think an excellent cust service will be. then after tat he told me he's goin to ask a golden qn.. and therefore i'll hv to use golden words.. lol. he asked me to give 3 reasons y starbucks shld hire me. then i thought for some time before sayin 'i'm young and energetic.. learn fast.. work efficiently' lol i saw him circle the no 4 for that ans.. 4 out of 5.

after which i asked abt the pay.. $4.50 - $5.50 an hr.. blah blah. talked awhile.. then he pondered.. and suddenly just say tat i'm employed. i'm kinda shock.. he asked where i would prefer to work at and stuff.. haha i was really surprise.. all new partners gotta go thru 60 hrs of trnin.. blah blah blah...

after our interviews.. we went to a station where we were given a small cup of coffee and biscuits.. and learnt abt stuff. then went to the brewin station. and got a free cafe latte. after which we went to take some pastries and sat down to dethaw...

when we leavin, we were stopped by the wda.. some workforce association thingy... then we were encouraged to take some listenin test.. the freakin test so long.. and the com so slow.. i got lvl 5 out of lvl 6. eve got lvl 6.. haha..

finally, we left the place.. and went tm to shop shop.. eve and i both bought a denim skirt from BUM. eve bought nail polish too.. haha fun day..

i dunno if my student still wants me... she couldn't make it nxt sat.. and i asked her to sms when she want the tuition.. she haven't sms me yet!! haha.. i'll be waitin for the call from starbucks!! hope i get to work at tampines. then i'll work my way up to $5.50 an hr!

had my first tuition lesson today at simei. wanted to walk there but didn't cos i scared i late... my student is a sec3 girl from duman... wah i was so nervous.. missed her unit no.. then started lesson, my hands were trembling! tried to prevent my hand from shaking while i write... seriously dunno how to start the lesson so anyhow start.. A maths first chapter is sets.. a topic tat i dun really know.. then i got stuck at a venn diagram qn! feel so dumb... then face turned red! omg.. it was horrible. luckily it was already end of lesson, so i hurriedly gave her hw to do.. and told her i'll get back to her nxt week.. bet she's tellin her mum how pathetic i am..

i feel so ashamed! throw mr yong's face.... i swear i'm goin to do every qn in the A and E maths textbook! but then her A maths txt book isn't the same as wat i hv now.. Anyone has the our batch's A maths txt book to lend me?

oh.. my sis bought me a giant tigger.. she brought it to grandma's hse and got everybody goin gaa gaa over it. she bought a piglet for herself too.. poor bro didn't hv anything.. haha..

let me tell u how disgustin en can be.... and i tot trish is ultimate when she.. erm... wear the same skirt for a few days... but i think kinda embarrassing la. later she paiseh. those who wanna know feel free to ask me! haha..

tml i'll be givin tuition to a sec3 girl.. A and E maths. got this assignment from a tuition agency. the agency actually wanted me to lie abt my age and my qualifications! i'm to say i'm 20, a full time tutor with 2 yrs teachin experience.. wah... the agency earn money without a conscience... hope everything will go fine tml... but i've forgotten my maths! and without textbooks as reference.. i wonder how i'm gonna survive my one mth probation.

yest when shoppin with en and andy...actually was supposed to be en and i... wanted to buy new clothes.. then andy came along cos he wanna buy new bag. in the end, he bought his big orange bag... so big it's probably 2-3 times his width!!! make him look even skinnier... i didn't buy anything in the end.. haha... then tat guy also not v smart.. there's a straight bus from bugis to his house but he took mrt.. then he alighted at lavender to take another bus!!!! speechless.

nxt week thurs meetin with eve.. fri with hi 5 for postponed bdae dinner. busy busy!

today is a terriblely unlucky day! wanted to refill ink of the stamp, and ended up with ink on my shirt! i barely wore my top for an hour! tried to wash the ink of with maria's detergent, but couldn't. had to borrow's sarah's company's t-shirt to wear..... then pple start askin y i'm waerin that shirt cos it's meant on fri and sat.

and i can't log into msn now! so pissed with the thingy...

in the office, most of the pple there smoke.. in fact, most of the card members smoke too so all day, i hv to smell that horrible stench. i was thinkin: if someone who smokes is a first-hand smoker or a active smoker, while a person who inhales the smoke is a second-hand smoker or a passive smoker, then i, who smells smoke off someone's body, will be called a third-hand smoker or a extremely passive smoker?

heehee. i'm back! again.... just now, andy sms me to come online to get my bdae present.. was wonderin wat he can send via internet.. prob an e-card? haha. duno... then he say just wanna me to send him the song 'lyla'. lol.. but he quickly asked me to log in maple story.

once in, he asked me to go to the cash shop... then i saw my present!

can u all see wat it is? can see the 'happy birthday' words? the character is me... he bought me a cap, a top and pants for my character! these items hv to be bought by real money.. SGD.. i was shock and surprised when i saw them! unbelievable! think he spend abt $15SGD? tian.. heehee.. my bro's so jealous.. wahaha... but sadly, these items only last till feb..

today we (wei qiang, jerry, wei sze, benj, pk, john john, tourm, jq and hi5) went to pulau ubin to cycle! had to wake up at 6.2oam cos wei qiang wanted us to meet at changi at 8am... was supposed to meet esther at 7.30am at tampines but she overslpt. in the end, we arrived at 8.30am.. luckily, we weren't the last one..

after breakfast, we headed to the ferry terminal... 13 of us fitted nicely into one water taxi.. the ride is fun! cos it's at open sea then waves quite strong... we reached pulau ubin ard 9plus... the rental of a bike is $6 for a whole day! the brakes of the bikes v powerful de.. u'll jerk if u apply brakes suddenly..

the guys took some maps and we started cycling.. cycle, cycle, cycle we came upon the beach. before tat, we were chased by a dog! it was barkin behind us.. didn't know wat happened and just kept cycling.. we stopped at the beach to rest and continued

then we took the mud route.. i guess it rained yest? the road was muddy.. and with puddles and puddles of water... it's kinda gross.. and i'm wearin my asics! and one pt, it was impossible to cross.. had to push our bikes up this heap of mud to get across.. after which, my beautiful shoes were caked with mud.

after which, we came upon proper road... then came upon a downslope.. suddenly i saw pieces of stuff flyin towards me.. then i realise they were mud.. so i tried slowing down. when i caught up with the rest.. we could really see who rode the fastest.. lol.. we were dirty everywhere!

stopped at the toilets to wash up.. on the way back, wei qiang, boon, jerry and wei sze fell.. wq and boon were on doubles and so were jerry and wei sze. wq's pair had braked and they both fell. jerry, on seein them fell, also braked and fell. wq's knees were badly scraped.. boon's arms and legs were scraped. jerry's pair were unharm... benj then rode wq, jerry ridin boon and wei sze on a single... all 5 went back to the bike rental shop.

the 8 of us then continued our journey... we reached a dirt road where i nearly fell down the hill. luckily there were alot of branches to break my fall.. heng sia.. then we continued up dirt road .. then we were goin down hill.. the slope so freakin steep.. i saw a bend in front and was afraid there might be someone.. applied my brake to try and slow it down.. my bike was like flyin! dunno how.. i fell.. then tricia.. who was behind me, applied her brake too.. and fell.. lol. my nan xiong nan di!

after tat, my left brake was spoiled.. we rested.. ate bread.. and continued. then boon called to say that they wanted to go cos wq was afraid his wounds would hv infections. so we headed back..

had lunch at the hawker centre.. then we went home to bathe and then meet later for dinner.

after reachin home, spent nearly an hr washing my shoes.. scrubbin the mud of them.. washin my bag.. after my bath.. my fingers were wrinkled! but my shoes were spick and spank!

but then.... tricia say cancel the dinner out le.. cos some tired.. some no money.. some injured.. am so disappointed =(

oh! john john gave me hair dye! lol... copper red colour.. thx brother!

my bro went out today, and came back with injuries... he fell, scratched his right arm, and tore the skin of his right knee... he wouldn't say how he fell and he didn't mention it... later i realised he went out to buy my present... had dropped it accidentally, and slipped and fell while tryin to pick it up... when i heard him say tat, tears filled my eyes.. but i quickly blinked them away. i didn't wanna cry in front of him. he bought this little tiger handphone accessory for me.. because of it, he fell and injured himself.. feel so guilty! my poor little brother. i hung the tiger on my bag cos it's kinda huge for my hp... thx bro!

and i got angbao from him and my sis.. it's weird gettin ang bao from ur siblings..
