met up with alvin, my pri sch fren... wasn't really excited abt it cos i was afraid i wouldn't hv anything to say.. but then, everything turn out fine, we crapped all the way from the time we met to the time when we part.. like old times.. i'm quite glad to hv met up with him cos i'm amazed tat even when we haven't really talked for 6 yrs, we still talked like as if we nv parted.. if he didn't mention, i didn't realise i've known him for almost 11 yrs! amazin how long our frenship has lasted, though we went separate ways since sec sch.. and he sent me home, hopin to visit my mum but she not in. then he went to find his gf-to-be.. haha he's gonna pop the qn this sat.. gettin the rose, makin song dedication at the fountain of wealth.. haha..

anw, this entry was supposed to be cheerful, cos i was disturbed abt my results, but luckily i managed to clear up my mind after havnin a nice chat with alvin.

in life, we need to hv a passion for smth.. hv a need to really want tat smth.. only then, will we hv the drive to push us on, over any obstacles that stand in our way, to get that smth.. but first, we must all dare to dream.

we all hv dreams. it just depends on how we handle them. some of us, take on a steady path towards our dreams, acceptin obstacles w grace, until we finally reach our destination. some of us, after meetin w some set backs, decide to turn our back ard, away from wat we used to believe. and then there's some of us, with our low self esteem, just lead life as it is, nv takin the courage to at least try to pursue our dreams. the last 2 kind of pple, tend to live in self denial, dismissin wat their hearts really want.

with dreams, we can do great things. but without any, we are pple leadin meaningless lifes. but then, who is able to take the courage to follow their hearts and stop puttin up a farce? many of us prefer to hide in our shells, occasionally lookin out to see how life could hv been.

we are nothing w/o dreams. for it was dreams tat lead our grandfathers to this island, who in turn, gave life not only to the country, but to us. our parents had dreams, and therefore created us. and it those same dreams tat pushed them on in their work to bring home food. and now, it is our turn to dream, to repay those who had nv gave up hope on their dreams.

one's future is determined by how one perceived it to be.. if we repeatedly tell ourselves that our futures are bleak.. then we would resign to this 'fate' and do nth abt it. and in the end, our futures really become bleak.

i believe in changin one's destiny. and to do so, one must get rid of all negative thoughts. i must start loving myself.
