just back from cycling at east coast park with li hui, yan ling, jun jie, kim heng and chin seng!! wat a hot day! luckily i don't get burnt tat easily cos i used to it le... hmm.. we met at 11am at bedok. i woke up at 9.20am and quickly rush thru things and get out of hse.... we hired the bikes for 2 hrs.. and there's 2 hrs free.. so tat's 4 solid hrs...
we headed to bedok jetty first.. but the road was blocked cos the asian trialathon was goin on... haiz.. so we had to turn back. then we say mei yin and maggie.. they were officials for the event... i suggested cyclin to esplanade.. been wanting to do tat for a long time but last time they all didn't want to u.. we cycled to the other end of ecp, then when on to esplanade cos we had about 3 hrs left...
i took lead cos i know the way.. i was kinda still a beginner i guess.. used to be afraid of cycling on narrow pathments, or when there's alot of pple cos i scared i will bang them... there was two ways and i chose the one tat leads to the platoon.. big mistake... cos most of the time we had to cycle on the main road.. and there's alot of cars.. thru out, kim heng and jun jie were complaining.. and 'scolding' me for suggesting to go cycle to esplanade... we stopped at indoor stadium but toilet quite far so i took them to the platoon to refill our bottles.. i was hopin to see ah hee.. but he wasn't there...
we carried our bikes up stairs to merdeka bridge and cycled down to the sea sports club.. where we had to carry our bikes down the stairs again.. there was a pathment tat leads straight to esplanade.. this time it was smooth riding all the way.. sea breeze... sand... nice! hmm but to our horror... there was dragonboat compeition near shears bridge!!! so many pple.. then we took a vote to see if we want to contiune or head back.. we went on ahead cos esplanade was just in front.. i took lead. again.. haha.. then i saw ah hee just standing there in front of me! think he already saw me b4 i saw him.. i called out his name and waved.. he said: 'wah so free to come out ar' haha then i replied.. and said bye to him.. think he also takin part in the competition.... we cycled thru the crowd and i was quite surprise tat i didn't stop the bike.. and wasn't scared of the pple.. i was able to manuever thru! so happy. ...
haha.. we reached esplanade.. then it seems like a rain will come soon.. then we head back to ecp... so fuN! took the route back cos the indoor stadium route v ma fan.... we stopped at KFC to buy a drink cos there's free refill... but... we hv only $2, and the smallest size drink costs $2.05! wth... we had to go back to ecp then...
cycled back towards the jetty. hopeful tat the competition has ended and we can pass thru... stopped and chat with yin and mag.. by then, it was 3.05pm.. no time to go jetty and back .. so we went back to return our bikes... went to mcdonald's to clean ourselves.. bought a hot fudge sundae with extra fudge! haha.. then we went to kiliney kopitiam.. was looking forward to go there.. quite a long since i've been there.. ate french toast along with ice tea.. haha i so pig.. lala.. took bus home with jun jie and chin seng.. saw mr oh at tms bus stop.. his hair has grown! haha..
think today everybody had fun.. haha.. too bad we didn't go ubin! jun jie, ur fault! haha but we will go there nxt time.
gotta go now.. going to play maple story with jun jie..
